Do you ever get that warm and fuzzy feeling that false humility gives you? It's super nice.

The most famous passage in Galatians! How does it fit in the context around it?

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35). So... what does this love look like?

Man, if we spoke Greek this would be a breeze. But unfortunately "love" in the English language is more complicated. So, we need to take a look at how the Bible exemplifies and presents love.

Continuing from Paul's analogy, this passage concludes Paul's thought and uses it as a foundation for additional instruction. Stand firm therefore and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

We need to be careful with this passage. Allegories are dangerous when misused because it allows personal interpretation to replace God's intended meaning.

Is the Bible ever an inconvenience for you? It's possible to follow the Bible's teachings without ever submitting to them.

The Bible was written for specific people at specific times but its value carries over to people of all eras.

Why was the Old Testament Law established? What was its purpose? Paul explains the purpose of the Law in relation the God's promises.

Paul is moving from defense to offense and he starts with reminding the Galatians about the absolute truth of the Gospel compared to the restricted message that they had been bewitched with.

Keeping the Law didn't make a person righteous. It was a way for people to express their faith in God through their faithfulness to His Law.

Abraham was consistent in his belief that God would fulfill His promises ... but sometimes he wanted to exercise control. Sometimes Abraham wanted to see things through on his own terms.

Paul confronts Peter when his witness becomes compromised. The Gospel was in danger of being misrepresented.

Paul's passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ is front and center in this passage. We would do well to adopt his zealous vigor.

Paul was a zealot in the sense that he lived out his beliefs fiercely. But what happened when he found out that his beliefs were not based in a living truth?

The letter to the Galatians begins with an urgent undertone. The author works to right the ship of faulty theology and defend himself from harmful accusations.
